L-3 Communications, Applied Signal & Image Technology (L-3 ASIT) is a Maryland-based engineering research and development company that was founded in 1992. We are seeking a Configuration Manager for our Linthicum Heights location. L-3 ASIT employs a staff of experienced professionals, scientists, engineers, and technicians with specialized skills in signal processing, analysis, and engineering development. L-3 ASIT specializes in the research, engineering, production, deployment, and support of advanced signal processing solutions.
The Configuration Manager is responsible for developing and managing Configuration Management (CM) processes, as well as policies and procedures for Data Control and Design Capture. The Manager is responsible for developing industry-acceptable processes for Configuration Management, Document and Data Control, and Design and Development Capture. The Configuration Manager meets with customer and supplier counterparts to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsible for participating in program reviews to ensure program-specific CM and data needs are appropriately planned for. Lead L-3 ASIT in development of ISO standards, and attainment of ISO 2000 certification. Secret clearance desired. |

| Qualifications |
The Company requires a B.A. or B.S. degree in Engineering or Manufacturing fields, or a minimum of 10 years of direct experience in electro-mechanical design and/or manufacturing of high-density equipment. Minimum 5 years managing engineering-related or manufacturing related groups and 5 years working in an electronic Product Data Management (PDM) system. Must have 5+ years experience with MRP/data management systems (Oracle and SAP). Ability to manage and direct CM and design disciplines.
